  • Responsible for covering police and fire, as well as general feature stories.

City Reporter, The Marshall News Messenger (February 2016 – May 2016)

A daily newspaper serving Marshall, Texas and surrounding Harrison and Marion Counties.

  • Responsible for covering Marshall City Hall, the Marshall business community and various news/feature items.
  • Oversaw the newspaper’s social media accounts, bringing followers and engagement up.

Section Editor, neighborsgo (July 2013 – January 2016)

A community publication of The Dallas Morning News

  • Covering various Dallas suburbs for the weekly neighborsgo section and The Dallas Morning News’ Metro section.
  • Working with contributor- and reader-submitted content for the neighborsgo editions.
  • Producing and editing the weekly print neighborsgo section.
